A company’s project has been selected as a demonstration zone technology innovation project for 2025, helping to drive the transformation and upgrading of the rubber industry.

  Recently, the “R&D and Industrialization Project for Low-Heat-Generating Nano-Silica/Natural Rubber Composites” of Jiyuan Hongxin Rubber Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has been officially included in the list of technological innovation projects under the 2025 Jiyuan Demonstration Zone Science and Technology Program. The inclusion of this project marks a solid step forward for the company in promoting scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and will bring disruptive changes to the rubber industry.

  As a key innovation project in the industrial sector of the Jiyuan Demonstration Zone, this project has been underway since its launch in January 2022. The company is dedicated to the research and development and technological breakthroughs in water-based wet-process mixed rubber, aiming to create new high-performance, high-quality rubber materials. First, increase R&D investment. Nearly 5 million yuan has been invested in the R&D of this project, and multiple technology patents have been obtained. Second, strengthen scientific and technological research. By designing adhesive molecules on the surface of nano-silica, we achieve excellent bonding with the rubber matrix, thereby addressing the critical technical challenge of ensuring stable composition and integration among the various components of the composite material and breaking through the industry’s longstanding technological bottleneck of filler leakage. We have also developed a wet-mixing technology for rubber composites, establishing a low-energy “green” processing method that minimizes molecular damage to the rubber and allows for controllable material properties. At the same time, we have fully automated and integrated the entire process—from liquid mixing and dispersion of latex with aqueous dispersions of precipitated silica, to flocculation and drying—laying a core technological foundation for the automated, continuous production in the wet-mixing industry. Third, accelerate the pace of project industrialization. In 2024, the company completed and put into operation a project for producing tens of thousands of tons per year of wet-mix nano-rubber composites, fundamentally transforming the traditional dry-mixing process, which was characterized by high energy consumption, heavy pollution, and unstable performance. In 2025, this project was honored as a “Third Batch of Landmark Projects for Green and Low-Carbon Development in Henan Province.” The technological achievement—the “tens-of-thousands-ton natural rubber/white carbon black wet low-temperature continuous mixing process”—was included in the “Catalog of Advanced Green and Low-Carbon Technological Achievements of Henan Province (2024).” Furthermore, the “green and low-carbon water-based low-temperature wet continuous mixing technology” won the Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Technology Innovation Track of the 2025 Henan Province Industrial Green and Low-Carbon Development Innovation Competition.

  Taking this as an opportunity, the company will continue to increase its R&D investment, strengthen its R&D team, and accelerate the pace of technological breakthroughs. By supporting industrial development with more and stronger research projects, the company will inject new momentum into industrial innovation in the Jiyuan Demonstration Zone.
